“The financial statements have been prepared on a going-concern basis. The Directors and management have considered this treatment to be appropriate. The Directors made a decision in the year to close a department which was incurring considerable losses and the department ceased operations after the year end. The Directors believe this action will ensure the charity's financial viability going forward. Thus the Director's continue to adopt the going concern basis of accounting in preparing the financial statements.”
