“The financial statements are prepared on a going concern basis. The Company recorded a profit after taxation of £99,000 (2023: loss of £339,000). The Company had net assets of £98,379,000 (2023: £101,169,000) at the end of the year. The financial statements have been prepared on a going concern basis which the Directors believe to be appropriate. The Directors conclude that preparing the financial statements on the going concern basis is appropriate due to the continued financial support of the ultimate parent company, UPM-Kymmene Corporation. The Directors have received confirmation from UPM-Kymmene Corporation that it will support the company as necessary, and has the ability to do so, for a period of 12 months from the date of approval of the financial statements. The Directors considered the ability of UPM-Kymmene Corporation to provide such support and having reviewed its financial position are satisfied the financial statements should be prepared on a going concern basis.”
