“The going concern of the LLP is considered as part of the overall going concern assessment of the wider Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP network. A number of scenarios, including expected and downside scenarios, have been modelled for the Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP network, which includes the LLP, and the anticipated cash flows over the next 12 months have been considered. Revenues from the provision of legal services are forecast to significantly exceed operating costs in all of the scenarios considered, and cash inflows are expected to exceed cash outflows from operating activities. In all scenarios modelled, Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP continues to comply with the financial covenants attached to its $200m Revolving Credit Facility with sufficient headroom to ensure the network remains viable for the going concern period. In the event of a downturn, the LLP, in coordination with the firm's network, has discretion over the timing and amounts of partner drawings. Based on this analysis, and post year-end trading results, the going concern basis is therefore considered appropriate and has been adopted for the purpose of these financial statements. Further detail regarding liquidity is set out in the notes to the financial statements (page 28).”
