“The consolidated financial statements have been prepared assuming that the Group will continue as a going concern notwithstanding the net current liabilities of the Group at 31 December 2023 amounting to HK$173,080,655 (2022 HK$5,166,439,977) China Huaneng Group Co, Ltd (中國華能集團有限公司) has agreed to provide continuing financial support to the Group to enable it to meet its liabilities as and when they fall due. After consideration to the future liquidity, performance of the Group and financial support from China Huaneng Group Co, Ltd(中國華能集團有限公司), the directors believe that the Group will have adequate resources to continue in operations for a period that is not less than 12 months from the reporting date of the consolidated financial statements. Therefore, the consolidated financial statements of the Group have been prepared on a going concern basis.”
