  In accordance with their responsibilities, the directors have considered the appropriateness of the going concern basis for the preparation of the financial statements. In making these considerations, the directors have considered the purpose for which the company was set up. The company was formed to manage the transitional resources received from the Secretary of State for Transport in advance of the establishment of Great British Railways Limited as well as to manage funds channelled towards qualifying activities relating to Fares and Ticketing Reform. It was always expected that the company would cease trading. There has been no change in this expectation and the company ceased to trade on 31 March 2025.
