“Trustees consider that Food Bank Aid is a going concern for the foreseeable future.”
Significant events
- “This year marks a significant milestone for Food Bank Aid. We are now four years old as a registered charity-and five years since I began, in my garage, with a few donated tins and a desire to help local food banks experiencing a surge of people caught up in loss of earnings due to Covid-19.”
- “A cloud does hang over us, however, as we await planning confirmation for the redevelopment of the Great North Leisure Park. Unfortunately, there will be no space to accommodate Food Bank Aid in the new scheme, and we will need to find new premises suitable for the size and scale of our current operation-a considerable challenge, particularly given the geography we serve.”
- “This has been a year of transition. In November 2024, we were delighted to welcome Alyson Walsh as our new CEO. Alyson brings eight years of sector leadership, and her clarity, decisiveness and deep understanding of food poverty have already made a significant impact.”
- “During my break from being Chair I was extremely grateful to our trustees, Rochelle Trup and Chris Goodgame, who stepped up at short notice, as co-chairs. Chris continues as my co-chair and remains in his role as Treasurer a vital and often unseen position that he fulfils with tireless dedication and unfailing reliability.”
- “Since preparing the Chair's Report earlier this year, I have decided to step down as Co-Chair and Trustee.”

Each % is (latest − prior) ÷ |prior| for the line item as filed. The comparison is only shown when the latest and prior accounts cover broadly equal-length periods — short or long stubs (typical around incorporation or a year-end change) are suppressed rather than misrepresented. Lines a company doesn't report are omitted. About these numbers
