- Going concern
- Affirmed
“At the time of approving the financial statements, the directors have a reasonable expectation that the Company has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future and that there are no material uncertainties about its ability to continue. Thus the directors continue to adopt the going concern basis of accounting in preparing the financial statements.”
Significant events
- “Despite wider socio economic challenges 2024 saw a solid trading picture with growth in core revenues that was evidenced by an increase in turnover from £44m to £50m.”
- “During 2024, Lex Leisure continued to actively engage with local authority partners to further develop carbon reduction plans and roll out awarded Sport England Swimming Pool Relief funding in 2023 to assist with the continuation of investment into energy efficient technologies in 2025 and beyond.”
- “As outlined in our last annual report it has become apparent, however, that local authority clients are increasingly anxious to conclude operating contracts with operators that could achieve additional cost savings by virtue of their ability to qualify for mandatory relief from national non domestic rates. Whilst Lex qualifies for discretionary NNDR relief it does not qualify for mandatory relief and this is placing it at a disadvantage that is likely to grow over the coming years. As a result, Lex has sponsored the establishment of a Charitable Community Benefit Society, with whom it shares directors, that is able to offer local authority clients the benefit of mandatory NNDR relief.”

Each % is (latest − prior) ÷ |prior| for the line item as filed. The comparison is only shown when the latest and prior accounts cover broadly equal-length periods — short or long stubs (typical around incorporation or a year-end change) are suppressed rather than misrepresented. Lines a company doesn't report are omitted. About these numbers
