- Affirmed
“After making appropriate enquiries, the Board of Trustees has a reasonable expectation that the Academy Trust has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. For this reason they continue to adopt the going concern basis in preparing the financial statements.”
Significant events
- “In 2024/25 two schools had OFSTED inspections: Churnet View Middle School and Rushton First School. Both schools remain good schools with Rushton First School having outstanding grades in Behaviour and attitudes, personal development and Early Years provision.”
- “Westwood College following a Requires Improvement grading from OFSTED in May 2024, has continued to work diligently to improve the quality of education, behaviour and personal development.”
- “The principal uncertainty for all of the Academy Trust continues to be the funding of the academies combined with a predicted falling pupil demographic for future years.”
- “The financial year 2024/25 has been very challenging with some academies facing additional operational expenditure and staff absence.”
- “Work is underway to re-introduce a combined sixth form offer across both secondary academies; this will be integral to improve the combined financial position. However, both are subject to a falling pupil demographic and are situated within estates that require continued investment.”
- “The impact on future budgets will continue to be affected by any agreed public sector pay uplifts.”
- “Leek High School is carrying a net deficit on its portion of the funds as follows: £18,965. To rectify the financial position, the Trust has decided to treat the two secondary schools as a combined entity.”

Each % is (latest − prior) ÷ |prior| for the line item as filed. The comparison is only shown when the latest and prior accounts cover broadly equal-length periods — short or long stubs (typical around incorporation or a year-end change) are suppressed rather than misrepresented. Lines a company doesn't report are omitted. About these numbers
