- Going concern
- Affirmed
“In auditing the financial statements, we have concluded that the trustees' use of the going concern basis of accounting in the preparation of the financial statements is appropriate. Based on the work we have performed, we have not identified any material uncertainties relating to events or conditions that, individually or collectively, may cast significant doubt on the charity's ability to continue as a going concern for a period of at least twelve months from when the financial statements are authorised for issue.”
Significant events
- “JD Foundation's vision was refined on 14th September 2023 during a Trustee Meeting, and updated to "young people achieving their unlimited potential", with our mission being "building stronger youth communities and transforming young people's lives through opportunities, engagement and social change."”
- “Our new strategy is broken down into 2 key areas: Community and Opportunity. Community consists of the provision of Grants and Partnerships to charitable organisations who align with our vision and that operate across communities within the UK. Opportunity consists primarily of programmes and partnerships that help us to achieve our vision, on a more strategic and national level.”
- “On 8 October 2025, it was decided that the accrued income (note 6) relating to European carrier bag income of £619,626 would be reversed in the financial year ending 31 January 2026, following a reassessment of the charity's income recognition in light of operational and regulatory developments after the reporting date. At the year ending 31 January 2025, the Trustees were not aware of this decision and therefore the accrued income has not been adjusted in these financial statements.”

Each % is (latest − prior) ÷ |prior| for the line item as filed. The comparison is only shown when the latest and prior accounts cover broadly equal-length periods — short or long stubs (typical around incorporation or a year-end change) are suppressed rather than misrepresented. Lines a company doesn't report are omitted. About these numbers
