Material uncertainty over going concern
The Trustees of the trust entered into an agreement on 19 July 2024 which was authorised by the Secretary of State for Education to transfer all acadmey operations, net assets and funding agreements to a Multi-Academy Trust; Learning For Life Trust (registered company number 09690231) from 1 September 2024. The result of this is Cockermouth School Academy (registered company number 09679536) ceased to become an academy and no longer had any operations or assets held within it. As such, the company is not a going concern and has not been prepared under the going concern basis. Instead an alternative basis was used however this did not result in any change in the reporting of or valuations of the assets and liabilities at the period end.
