“After making appropriate enquiries, the Acer Trust Board of Trustees has a reasonable expectation that the Trust has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for the following twelve months. For this reason, it continues to adopt the going concern basis in preparing the financial statements.”

- “The Trust's finances have been significantly impacted by the merger with Bernwode Schools Trust in January 2024. Upon merger, it was discovered that the financial position of the two incoming schools, Glory Farm Primary School and The Cooper School, was significantly worse than expected based on the due diligence undertaken and budget forecasts received. As a result, the schools transferred with a collective reserves balance of -£144k, and continued to operate a deficit model during 2023/24.”
