“Our expectation is that in the medium and long term, our business will continue to grow and to outperform the overall market as it did in previous years. The newest hotels in our estate have traded positively and provide confidence that the high-quality developments in key cities which the Group is now focusing on will produce good long-term returns for our shareholders. We remain confident on the development pipeline and the potential for the brand in Continental Europe. We have the right skills within the management team to allow the business deliver against the Board's vision. easyHotel has delivered excellent financial results in 2024, ahead of its previous record year in 2023. This performance reflected the strength and resilience of the UK budget hotel market which performed strongly in 2024, driven by strong levels of domestic leisure demand and a rapid recovery in 'blue collar' and corporates business demand, together with our continued outperformance against the midscale and economy segment. There were some remainders of inflationary cost pressures impacting the industry in 2024, and easyHotel is not immune, but costs remained well controlled, supported by our industry leading operating cost model and strong supplier relationships.”
