“Owing to the decision by SMBC to subsume the outstanding work of the UGC, the directors no longer have a reasonable expectation that the company will continue to operate for the 12 months following approval of the financial statements. The Solicitor to the Council has been authorised to take all necessary steps to wind up the UGC. As such, the financial statements have therefore been prepared on a basis other than going concern.”
