“After making appropriate enquiries, the Board of Trustees has a reasonable expectation that the academy trust has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. For this reason, it continues to adopt the going concern basis in preparing the financial statements.”
Significant events
- “The year 2024 - 2025 was another good one at AHS with a variety of experiences and achievements. All stakeholders worked extremely hard providing the very best in learning. The highlight of the year, again, was the swimming pool hire which proved incredibly effective in moving the children's swimming skills and water. confidence forward.”
- “We also put solar panels on the school roof which has decreased our energy bills and is having a positive impact on the environment; changed out lighting to LED lighting; refurbished the children's toilets making them more inclusive and accessible for all children; and, with the children's help, designed and had built a new Trim Trail for the playground.”
- “Generosity of stakeholders continues to be evident with fundraising events held by our Friends Of Asfordby Hill. They used the money to provide books for classrooms, a pantomime for the children at Christmas time and for buses that enabled us to enrich our already broad and balanced curriculum by visiting places like Twycross Zoo, The Space Centre and the Botanical Gardens.”
- “Our sporting teams have also been transported to competitions and 'inspire' events such as gymnastics and football. We were incredibly proud of our netballers and footballers who performed brilliantly in the local multi-school tournament. The latter team won the 'Spirit of the Games' Award.”
- “Success was also experienced in the Melton in Bloom competition, where our budding gardeners achieved a silver award for their VE Day inspired garden.”
- “Once again, our youngest children took to the stage and performed 'The Donkey Seller' nativity. Our Key Stage 2 children worked incredibly hard to put on a very green 'Shrek Junior' musical. The singing and acting was very professional!”
- “Parents have had other opportunities to come in to school and see the children working too. We held a 'Come and read with your child' morning, a 'Times tables' morning and EYFS and Year 1 families were invited to another Christmas craft making session. Phonics sessions have also been open to parents so they can support their children at home positively.”
- “Once again end of year data reflects the children's hard work with the school achieving higher outcomes than schools nationally”

Each % is (latest − prior) ÷ |prior| for the line item as filed. The comparison is only shown when the latest and prior accounts cover broadly equal-length periods — short or long stubs (typical around incorporation or a year-end change) are suppressed rather than misrepresented. Lines a company doesn't report are omitted. About these numbers
