  We draw attention to note 2.2 in the financial statements, which indicates that conditions have been identified that may cast significant doubt on the academy trust's ability to continue as a going concern, due to a merger with another academy trust, which has been approved subsequent to 31 August 2025 but not yet completed. As stated in note 2.2, these events or conditions, along with the other matters as set forth in note 2.2, indicate that a material uncertainty exists that may cast significant doubt on the academy trust's ability to continue as a going concern. Our opinion is not modified in respect of this matter.

• “At a meeting held in October 2025, of the Heads' Advisory Board, approval was given for the merger of Aspire Multi Academy Trust and SHINE Multi Academy Trust. At the date the merger formally takes place, it is expected that the operations, trade and assets of SHINE Multi Academy Trust will be transferred to Aspire Multi Academy Trust, as that will be the registered company used for financial reporting purposes, post the merger.”
