  Material uncertainty over going concern

  After making appropriate enquiries, the Board of Trustees has a reasonable expectation that the Academy Trust has adequate resources to continue as a going concern. During the 2024/25 financial year, the Trust implemented a recovery strategy that successfully addressed the previous accumulated deficit in free reserves. resulting in a modest surplus. This positive trajectory is expected to continue with the budget for 25/26 set that indicates that free reserves will further increase by the end of the financial year on 31st August 26, enabling the Trust to continue to rebuild reserves towards 5% of annual income. For the reasons highlighted above the Trustees are highlighting that a material uncertainty still exists at the date of signing the accounts. The trustees continue to adopt the going concern basis of accounting in preparing the financial statements.
