“After making appropriate enquiries, the Board of Trustees has a reasonable expectation that the academy trust has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. For this reason it continues to adopt the going concern basis in preparing the financial statements. • “In June 2025, an academy trust server was compromised as a result of a brute force cyber-attack. A quick response followed with expert guidance from Smart IT and Cyber Clan. The academy trust network was unharmed although some online documents had been copied. The ICO was informed and risk has been assessed as low.”
• “As in previous years, significant investments have enhanced learning environments and ICT infrastructure. In 2023, Southmoor Academy demonstrated exceptional resilience during a site management challenge involving asbestos, ensuring uninterrupted learning for Key Stage 4 and 5 students, the works to rectify this were finally completed during the summer of 2025.”
• “The Sandhill View site transfers to the academy trust from its Private Finance Initiative contract in September 2027. Although initial discussions have commenced with key stakeholders the financial implications and provision of key services is identified as a risk at this early stage.”
