“In forming their assessment, the Governors have considered the financial position of the Academy Trust together with financial forecasts including plans for future investment in the School's infrastructure and estate. Whilst the financial climate remains challenging, the Governors are satisfied that the group is in good financial health, and the budgeted in-year funding receivable from government and other sources, together with the availability of brought forward reserves, will allow the Academy Trust to meet its financial obligations as they fall due for a period of at least 12 months from the date of approval of this report.”

• “A corporate credit card in the name of a former employee which was believed to have been cancelled remained active and incurred £11,949 of fraudulent charges, externally perpetrated, during the 2024/25 financial year throughout the period of April 2025 to August 2025. This was reported to the bank in May 2025 by the School Business Manager. It was not reported internally to the Accounting Officer or Board of Governors, despite the fraudulent charges continuing including during the Summer period when the fraudulent charges increased significantly. The Department for Education (DfE) was also not informed. Since the audit, the school has now reported this to the DfE and has followed up with the bank, which has confirmed all funds are to be recovered.”
