Material uncertainty over going concern
The trustees assess whether the use of going concern is appropriate, ie whether there are any material uncertainties related to events or conditions that may cast significant doubt on the ability of the charitable company to continue as a going concern. St Ambrose College Edmund Rice Academy Trust is expected to transfer the trade, assets and liabilities of the academy trust to the Laetare Catholic Multi Academy Trust (company number: 15731145), in the first half of 2025. Following the completion of the transfer, it is the intention of the trustees to dissolve the charitable company, and therefore do not consider it to be appropriate to adopt the going concern basis of accounting in preparing the financial statements.
