“The financial statements have been prepared on a going concern basis which the directors believe to be appropriate for the following reasons. After reviewing these forecasts, the directors are of the opinion that, taking account of severe but plausible downsides, the conservatoire will have sufficient funds, through funding from its immediate parent (Luminate Education Group) to meet its liabilities as they fall due over the period of 12 months from the date of approval of the financial statements (the going concern assessment period).”

• “In June 2023 the High Court ruled in the case of Virgin Media Limited v NTL Pension Trustees. The ruling was that certain pension scheme rule amendments were invalid if they were not accompanied by the correct actuarial confirmation. This High Court ruling was appealed. In a judgment delivered on 25 July 2024, the Court of Appeal unanimously upheld the decision of the High Court. On 5 June 2025, the Government announced that it will introduce legislation to give affected pension schemes the ability to retrospectively obtain written actuarial confirmation that historic benefit changes met the necessary standards.”
