“After making appropriate enquiries, the board of trustees has a reasonable expectation that the academy trust has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. In coming to its determination, the board of trustees regularly reviews future financial forecasts prepared by the trust for a period of five-years, these financial forecasts include future expected student numbers within the locality and known or anticipated changes within the trust. The board of trustees deem that sufficient reserves exist to cover anticipated shortfalls or in-year deficits. For this reason, the board of trustees continues to adopt the going concern basis in preparing the financial statements.”
