“After making appropriate enquiries, The Board of Trustees has a reasonable expectation the Academy Trust has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. The Trustees recognise that the Trust's financial position has deteriorated over the past two years. Trustees have identified the causes and taken decisive action, including appointing a new CEO and CFO and introducing tighter financial controls. Both deficit schools have produced detailed and credible recovery plans, and significant savings have already been budgeted for, with further efficiencies identified. Trustees are confident that the schools will return to surplus within agreed timelines and that Trust reserves will be rebuilt. The trustees therefore adopt the going concern basis with confidence.”
