“After making appropriate enquiries, the board of trustees has a reasonable expectation that the academy trust has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. For this reason, the board of trustees continues to adopt the going concern basis in preparing the accounts.”

• “The trust has suffered significant fire damage to its catering facilities at one of the secondary schools during the first week of return from the summer break. The matter has been reported to the trust insurers and investigated by the major loss adjusters team and forensic specialists and have identified the source of the fire originated from a chiller unit. Fire control measures and prompt response from staff at the school worked effectively and contained the spread of fire beyond the canteen with consequent damage was largely resultant from smoke. The investigation and remedial works are currently ongoing and are expected at this time to be fully covered under the schools RPA insurance cover”
