Material uncertainty over going concern
Trustees voted in Spring 2025 that the University of Brighton Academies Trust will cease to operate as a multi-academy trust. It has been agreed that all of the Trust's academies will transfer to other multi-academy trusts, with the transfers expected to complete by Spring 2026. Following the completion of these transfers, the Trust will have no further schools under its control and will subsequently be wound up. In light of this, the Trustees have concluded that the Trust will not continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. The Trustees therefore consider it inappropriate to prepare the financial statements on a going concern basis.
