Material uncertainty over going concern
The directors consider that the preparation of the financial statements for Smallwood Manor Preparatory School Limited should be on a basis other than as a going concern. This reflects the fact that the trade of the charitable company and certain business assets (excluding the school land and buildings) were gifted to Denstone College in 2021 and the school land and buildings were sold to an external third party. It is now intended that Smallwood Manor Preparatory School Limited will commence the necessary steps to undertake a voluntary winding up, as soon as the Pensions Trust liability can be finalised, or earlier, if possible.

Each % is (latest − prior) ÷ |prior| for the line item as filed. The comparison is only shown when the latest and prior accounts cover broadly equal-length periods — short or long stubs (typical around incorporation or a year-end change) are suppressed rather than misrepresented. Lines a company doesn't report are omitted. About these numbers
