Audit & accounting basis

- Audit opinion
- Unqualified (clean)
- Going concern
- Affirmed
“The directors believe that preparing the financial statements on the going concern basis is appropriate due to the continued financial support from the intermediate parent company, M.K.M. Building Supplies (Group) Limited, supported by the cash flows of the Group. Using cashflow forecasts, the directors have produced both a base case and a severe but plausible downside scenario to review and "stress-test" these assumptions. After careful consideration the directors are satisfied that M.K.M. Building Supplies (Group) Limited and its subsidiary companies including M.K.M. Leisure Limited, have adequate resources to continue in operation for the foreseeable future being at least twelve months from the date of signing the financial statements.”
Significant events
- “Annual turnover decline of 48.5% (2023: 4.1% growth). The company drives high levels of customer service and this, aligned with product availability and range, has underpinned its successful performance in its local marketplace of Hull.”
- “The leisure industry has experienced a downturn in activity during 2024. Supporting our customers and maintaining excellent customer service, whilst leveraging our central support service model has enabled the Company to perform well in the%”
- “The Company's operations expose it to a variety of financial risks that include the effect of changes in material prices, credit risk, liquidity risk and interest rate risk.”

Each % is (latest − prior) ÷ |prior| for the line item as filed. The comparison is only shown when the latest and prior accounts cover broadly equal-length periods — short or long stubs (typical around incorporation or a year-end change) are suppressed rather than misrepresented. Lines a company doesn't report are omitted. About these numbers
