Significant events

• “With effect from 1 January 2025 the Company has entered into a quota share reinsurance arrangement with Chubb Tempest Re ("CTR"), a fellow Chubb group company), whereby the Company will cede approximately 70% of the business it underwrites through Syndicate 2488 (excluding investment returns) to CTR. In return the Company will receive an overriding commission from CTR and approximately 70% of the funds at Lloyd's (FAL) needed to support the Company's underwriting on Syndicate 2488 will be provided directly to Lloyd's of London by CTR on behalf of the Company. The provision of 70% of the FAL requirement by CTR, plus the benefit of a new LOC (as referenced in note 13) allows the Company to withdraw $700m of its previously held FAL during 2025. On 30 May 2025, the Company used this $700m to pay a dividend of the same amount to its parent company.”
