- Going concern
- Affirmed
“After making enquiries, the Directors have a reasonable expectation that the Company has adequate resources to continue in operational existence over a period of at least twelve months from the date of this report. For this reason, the Company continues to adopt the going concern basis in preparing the financial statements.”
Significant events
- “The result for the year is a profit of $97.8 million (2023: profit of $108.1 million). Syndicate 33 has continued to perform strongly, experiencing notable growth in reinsurance, property, and specialty classes while reducing its exposure in casualty due to adverse pricing trends. Additionally, the Syndicate has elected to discontinue underwriting space business in 2024 in response to a persistently adverse claims environment. Despite an active wind season, including Hurricanes Helene and Milton, the impact of these catastrophe events remained within our modelled range.”

Each % is (latest − prior) ÷ |prior| for the line item as filed. The comparison is only shown when the latest and prior accounts cover broadly equal-length periods — short or long stubs (typical around incorporation or a year-end change) are suppressed rather than misrepresented. Lines a company doesn't report are omitted. About these numbers
