- Going concern
- Affirmed
“In assessing the ability of the company to continue as a going concern, the directors have considered the strong cash reserves and healthy net assets position of the business, together with the continued support of the company's bankers and supply chain. After due consideration of all relevant factors, the directors have a reasonable expectation that the company has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. Accordingly, they continue to adopt the going concern basis in preparing the annual report and accounts.”
Significant events
- “The steel sector saw all steel input prices fall throughout the year. Steel availability was positive on all product lines and delivery lead times from producers were reduced. Once again, we saw outsell margins come under pressure and demand was stable over the 12 months. The trading performance for the year was consistent with our expectations. 2024 saw some large end-user failures and as a result, we expect downward pressure on credit limits given within the sector for both customers and suppliers. The directors see a tougher steel environment in 2025, with us facing significant headwinds on margin and steel demand.”

Each % is (latest − prior) ÷ |prior| for the line item as filed. The comparison is only shown when the latest and prior accounts cover broadly equal-length periods — short or long stubs (typical around incorporation or a year-end change) are suppressed rather than misrepresented. Lines a company doesn't report are omitted. About these numbers
