“However, as not all future events or conditions can be predicted, such as the impact of Covid-19, and as subsequent events may result in outcomes that are inconsistent with judgements that were reasonable at the time they were made, the absence of reference to a material uncertainty in this auditor report is not a guarantee that the company will continue in operation as a going concern.”

Significant events
- “The group experienced significant sales growth in the horticultural market during the Covid-19 pandemic. With movements restricted, consumers were forced to spend more time at home and in their gardens, meaning they increased their spend proportionately on products for the home and garden. This phenomenon was seen in both our home and export markets. The benefit of increased sales was somewhat offset by increases in the costs of energy and raw materials which did impact on operating margins. The growth has naturally fallen as people have returned to work and the group results have returned to pre-pandemic levels. Despite an increase in turnover this year margins have fallen as a result of increased wages and energy costs.”

Each % is (latest − prior) ÷ |prior| for the line item as filed. The comparison is only shown when the latest and prior accounts cover broadly equal-length periods — short or long stubs (typical around incorporation or a year-end change) are suppressed rather than misrepresented. Lines a company doesn't report are omitted. About these numbers
