• “The decision was also taken to undertake certain investment projects for environmental reasons rather than for financial return. These investments, discussed in more detail in the Directors' report below, will enable the Company to meet its future environmental obligations.”
• “Holmen Board and Paper Limited has an ongoing investment in a Primary Effluent Treatment Plant which is required to meet the new environmental permit levels for emissions of total suspended solids. The new plant will become operational in 2025.”

• “In June 2023, the High Court handed down a judgement in the Virgin Media vs NTL Pension Trustees case which could have widespread implications for the validity of historic rule amendments made to contracted-out pension schemes. A subsequent appeal against this judgement was rejected by the High Court in July 2024. The extent to which this decision affects the company's defined benefit pension scheme has not yet been ascertained by the scheme's Trustees therefore, it is not currently possible to determine if a potential liability exists.”
