“As at 31 December 2024, the company has net current liabilities of £5,188,560 (2023: £4,293,915). The company's directors believe that preparing the financial statements on a going concern basis is appropriate due to the continued financial support of the parent undertaking J. Murphy & Sons Limited. The parent has provided confirmation that access to funds and facilities will continue to be made available to the company in order for it to meet its liabilities as they fall due for a period of at least 12 months from the date of approval of these financial statements, which the directors believe to be sufficient to ensure the company can meet its liabilities as they fall due.”
Significant events
- “The foundation piling in the UK continues to experience a slowdown, driven by high inflation, rising financing costs and increased construction expenses. Despite these challenges, the company managed to secure a strong order book. Management remains focused on contract's profitability, prioritising bids for the contracts with acceptable margin levels. The directors of the company anticipate an improvement in business profitability in the coming periods.”
- “At the date of approving the financial statements, the UK economy continues to experience uncertainty due to inflation, high interest rates, labour costs and volatile energy prices. The construction industry is further impacted by geopolitical and supply chain challenges, including ongoing war in Ukraine and recent changes in US tariffs. While these factors pose potential risks to operations and the supply chain, the company has not been adversely affected to date. The directors continue to closely monitor these developments and will use the latest available information to shape the company's future strategy.”

Each % is (latest − prior) ÷ |prior| for the line item as filed. The comparison is only shown when the latest and prior accounts cover broadly equal-length periods — short or long stubs (typical around incorporation or a year-end change) are suppressed rather than misrepresented. Lines a company doesn't report are omitted. About these numbers
