• “The conclusion of the construction phase of the infrastructure building programme that started about 15 years ago and has cost approximately £450m. We now have state-of-the-art laboratories and animal facilities operating at the highest level of biological containment, alongside lower containment facilities that are essential to deliver a unique national capability.”
• “A significant milestone this year was the practical completion of the Brooksby building, a new high containment science facility. The new facility complements the existing state-of-the-art high containment laboratories and extensive insectary facilities at Pirbright and reinforces our role as a unique UK National Capability.
