• “On 31 October 2021, the Kota Bharu High Court in its judgement, awarded the Company with an additional compensation amounted to RM3,400,521 ("the Additional Compensation") to be paid by Pentadbir Tanah Kuala Krai ("PTKK") in relation to the compulsory acquisition of part of the Company's long leasehold land held under Lot PT 9289 located at Kuala Pahi, Jajahan Kuala Krai, Kelantan Darul Naim. The High Court also allowed late payment charges at the rate of 5% per annum on the Additional Compensation (which is to be calculated from 17 September 2018 until full settlement of the Additional Compensation) and costs of RM20,000 to be paid by PTKK to the Company. The Additional Compensation was paid by PTKK to the Company on 7 December 2023 and has been recognised under other operating income in the Company's current financial year statement of comprehensive income. PTKK however has failed to pay the sum of RM888,250 (being the late payment charges calculated at the rate of 5% per annum on the Additional Compensation calculated from 17 September 2018 to 7 December 2023) and costs of RM20,000. The Company therefore filed a mandamus application to compel Majlis Daerah Kuala Krai (the land was actually acquired by the Majlis Daerah Kuala Krai) and Pegawai Kewangan Negeri Kelantan to pay the late payment charges of RM888,250 and costs of RM20,000. The application was however dismissed by the High Court on 9 December 2024. On 20 December 2024, the Company filed a notice of appeal. The appeal is scheduled to be heard on 23 April 2026.”
• “On 22 February 2024, a Notice of Acquisition under Section 8 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1960 was published in the Warta Kerajaan Negeri Kelantan to acquire part of the Company's long leasehold oil palm land known as Lot 16744 located at Kuala Pahi, Jajahan Kuala Krai, Kelantan Darul Naim. The Company was awarded a sum of RM13,224,030 as compensation for the said acquisition. The gain arising from this compulsory acquisition is RM12,825,805 which has been recognised in the financial statements during the financial year. The Company was dissatisfied with the above-mentioned awarded sum and filed an objection to refer the matter to the Court ("Land Reference"). The Company prayed for an increment of RM36,305,428. The Land Reference hearing proceeded on 5 June 2025 and 8 January 2026. The Court has not scheduled a date to deliver its decision.”
