Audit & accounting basis

- Cooper Parry Group Limited
- Audit opinion
- Unqualified (clean)
- Going concern
- Affirmed
“Based on our high cash position and cash forecast, the directors have a reasonable expectation that the company has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. Thus, they continue to adopt a going concern basis of accounting in preparing the financial statements.”
Significant events
- “This was a particularly difficult year for the Company, with three factors combining negatively to impact our Sales and costs: The long tail effect of a period of high inflation and peaking interest rates in several of our most valuable markets caused consumers to prioritise necessary spend over discretionary spend, with a knock on effect into our wholesale business. A much weaker Japanese Yen forced additional price increases in that important export market, weakened our distributor's buying power, and led to a decline in the forward order book across both seasons. A UK Government budget in October 2024 hit sentiment our manufacturing and retail sectors very hard with the very significant increases in employers NI, the National Living Wage and business rates.”
- “We responded to these challenges by: 1. Increasing our prices, which we had not done for the previous three seasons. 2. Restructuring the business with redundancies. 3. Reducing the size of the range, which in turn will reduce stock risk. 4. Pausing investments.”
- “We have completed the project to replace our Wash and Dye House, based on our Lea Mills site. This utilises the best equipment currently available and significantly reduces our energy usage even further.”

Each % is (latest − prior) ÷ |prior| for the line item as filed. The comparison is only shown when the latest and prior accounts cover broadly equal-length periods — short or long stubs (typical around incorporation or a year-end change) are suppressed rather than misrepresented. Lines a company doesn't report are omitted. About these numbers
