• “The Boston Lodge, Activities and Interpretation project reached effective completion at the end of the year. This has been a £5.5m project, to restore the core of the historic works, to give heritage buildings new purpose, to promote volunteering and other engagement, and to bring interpretation across the whole railway up to World Heritage Site standards.”
• “Other notable improvements in 2024 have include a start of the Dinas project to greatly improve the management and servicing of trains at the northern end of the line. The completion of NG 15 134 Kalahari gives us five large locomotives capable of handling the longest regular Welsh Highland trains - a far cry from trying to operate on the margin.”
