“The financial statements have been prepared on a going concern basis which the Directors consider to be appropriate for the following reasons. The Company has received funding of £20m from BGF Group Plc. As at the date of signing these financial statements the Company has net assets of £16.3m with £0.1m available in cash to meet the future funding needs of the business. The Company's operational costs are met by other members of the BGF Group, and the Directors can manage the level of investment activity in line with the cash available to the Company. Additionally, the nature of the Company's investments is that they are listed securities, and are therefore liquid and realisable if required. These factors will enable the Company to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future by meeting its liabilities as they fall due. Thus, the Directors continue to adopt the going concern basis of accounting in preparing the Annual report and financial statements.”

An initial review of the exposure to US exports was conducted and determined that the current portfolio should not be significantly impacted by the tariffs. There is still significant uncertainty around how these tariffs will be implemented and what their longer-term impact may be and thus the Board continues to monitor the situation.”
