“The financial statements have been prepared on a going concern basis. Although there are considerable uncertainties surrounding the UK economy, the directors consider that the Company will continue to trade for the foreseeable future by meeting its liabilities as they fall due. See note 1 under accounting policies for a more detailed explanation. The Group has significant funding facilities in place to support the ongoing growth objectives of the business. In the event of a significant external adverse event, the Group could elect to reduce originations and focus on collecting from its existing loan book to preserve liquidity. Forecasts have been prepared under a range of scenarios which demonstrate the Group has adequate resources to continue to trade for at least 12 months from the date of signing this report. Accordingly, the directors consider it appropriate to continue adopting the going concern basis in preparing its financial statements.”
