“The Directors considered it appropriate to continue to adopt the going concern basis of accounting in preparing the financial statements. The going concern statement is detailed in full in note 2.2 of the Notes to the Financial Statements. During the year ended 31 December 2024, the Company recorded a comprehensive income of US$784,000 (2023: US$554,000), the Company's current liabilities exceeded its current assets by US$7,280,000 (2023: US$8,124,000) and it is in a net shareholder's surplus position of US$10,428,000 (2023: US$11,141,000). The Company's net current liability position is due to amounts payable to the immediate parent company of US$8,706,000 (2023: US$8,543,000). These liabilities are subordinated to the Company's other liabilities and will only be settled from future cash surpluses generated by the Company. Due to the Company's net current liability position, the parent company, Anglo International Shipping Operations limited, has undertaken to provide financial support to enable the Company meet its obligations as they fall due. The financial statements, prepared on the going concern basis, assume that the Company will generate sufficient working capital to continue operational existence for the foreseeable future.”
