• “During a planned shutdown in February 2025, the steam turbine on the Kemsley plant failed an axial clearance test. Subsequent inspection identified damage to seals in the turbine rotor. The turbine was removed for offsite repairs while the plant returned to service without the capacity to generate electricity. The turbine is expected to return to service early July. The cost of repair and loss of electricity will be partially covered by a claim under the Company's property damage and business interruption insurance. The costs and lost revenue not covered by insurance are estimated to be approximately £7.0 million.”
