“However, the additional funding needed by the Group and Company in both base case and severe but plausible downside scenarios has not been secured at the date of signing the financial statements. Were this funding not to be obtained, or the sale of the Group and Company not to complete, the Group and Company may be unable to continue as a going concern and meet their obligations as they fall due. This indicates the existence of a material uncertainty which may cast significant doubt about the Group and Company's ability to continue as a going concern. However, after considering this uncertainty, the directors have confidence the Group and Company will continue to operate for the foreseeable future. It is on this basis that the directors consider it appropriate to prepare the financial statements on a going concern basis. These financial statements do not include any adjustments that would result if the Group and Company was unable to continue as a going concern.”
