- Going concern
- Affirmed
“In auditing the financial statements, we have concluded that the trustees' use of the going concern basis of accounting in the preparation of the financial statements is appropriate. Based on the work we have performed, we have not identified any material uncertainties relating to events or conditions that, individually or collectively, may cast significant doubt on the charitable company's ability to continue as a going concern for a period of at least twelve months from when the financial statements are authorised for issue.”
Significant events
- “This has been a year of significant transformation for the charity. In response to a rapidly changing funding landscape and the evolving needs of carers in our community, Carers Lewisham has undertaken a strategic reorientation. We have moved away from a contract-based service delivery model and embraced a future as a grant-funded, independent organisation”
- “The decision to sell our long-standing premises at Waldram Place was not taken lightly. However, it has enabled us to reinvest in our mission, strengthen our financial position, and lay the foundations for a sustainable future.”
- “During the financial year 2024/25, Carers Lewisham undertook a comprehensive review of its strategic objectives and organisational values. This process marked a significant shift in the charity's operational model, transitioning from a contract-based service provider to a grant-funded organisation.”
- “Carers Lewisham submitted a bid to Lewisham Local Authority that prioritised financial sustainability over growth. The bid reflected a realistic and responsible pricing model... Ultimately, the contract was awarded to another provider.”
- “In response to the evolving funding environment, the charity made the decision to sell its fixed asset at Waldram Place (SE23 2LB). The proceeds from this sale are being reinvested into the organisation to support its reorientation and to ensure continued service delivery to carers in Lewisham.”
- “Following the sale of Waldram Place and the strategic shift in direction, the charity has undertaken a full review of its governance structures and organisational objectives. A complete redesign of the charity's website has been completed to reflect this new direction.”
- “On 25 September 2024, Carers Lewisham completed the sale of the leasehold property located at Waldram Place, London SE23 2LB for £520,000. The carrying amount of the property at the date of sale was £508,182.”

Each % is (latest − prior) ÷ |prior| for the line item as filed. Periods don't have to be exactly 12 months apart — a long or short period (typical around incorporation or year-end changes) will distort the comparison. Lines a company doesn't report are omitted. About these numbers
