“The directors confirm that they consider that the going concern basis remains appropriate. The directors believe that the company has sufficient resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future and thus they continue to adopt the going concern basis of accounting in preparing the annual financial statements.”
Significant events
- “The principal risks for the champagne industry in 2025 and beyond include global economic and geopolitical instability, leading to volatile consumer behavior impacting sales, particularly in export markets. Other uncertainties are the potential for new U.S. tariffs, the decline in overall shipments, and the challenge of maintaining market share against other wine categories. Depressed consumer confidence and disposable income throughout 2025 (and probably beyond) will continue to pressure champagne volumes and the ability to increase prices. Private label and secondary brand growth in os will be an additional challenge for the mainstream premium brands. Competition for, and costs of, promotion will increase for the major brand owners. Whilst the English Sparkling Wine market will continue to grow, a record harvest in 2023 will add to the mismatch between production and sales and the risk of commodifying the category. The companies that are investing in premium brand building are starting to build a competitive 'moat' with the rest of the category.”

Each % is (latest − prior) ÷ |prior| for the line item as filed. Periods don't have to be exactly 12 months apart — a long or short period (typical around incorporation or year-end changes) will distort the comparison. Lines a company doesn't report are omitted. About these numbers
