“The financial statements have been prepared on the going concern basis. During 2024, the Company incurred an operating loss of £1,325,935 and had net assets of £3,663,457. Based on the strength of the balance sheet and the review of the budgets and cash flow forecasts which expect a return to profitability in the ensuing accounting period, and therefore the directors are confident that the company will be able to meet its financial obligations as they fall due for the foreseeable future, and for a period of at least 12 months from the date of the financial statements. There are no material uncertainties related to events or conditions, that may cast significant doubt about the company's ability to continue as a going concern.”
Significant events
- “In September 2023, Optiva voluntarily entered into restrictions imposed under a Voluntary Requirement (VREQ) following a S165 imposed by the FCA. This necessitated a focus on compliance enhancements, leading to significant investments in policy improvements over the past fifteen months, including the engagement of specialist consultants. To bolster governance, a non-executive chair was appointed in August 2023. Despite incurring significant losses in 2023, the company's reserves in the form of liquid investments enable it to absorb these losses without resorting to debt or external financing. The investments have really paid off for Optiva. In January 2025, FCA has lifted the restrictions on Optiva and already at the time of approval, we are seeing a turn to profitable position.”

Each % is (latest − prior) ÷ |prior| for the line item as filed. Periods don't have to be exactly 12 months apart — a long or short period (typical around incorporation or year-end changes) will distort the comparison. Lines a company doesn't report are omitted. About these numbers
