- Adler Shine LLP

- Unqualified (clean)
- Going concern
- Affirmed
“In auditing the financial statements, we have concluded that the directors' use of the going concern basis of accounting in the preparation of the financial statements is appropriate. Based on the work we have performed, we have not identified any material uncertainties relating to events or conditions that, individually or collectively, may cast significant doubt on the Company's ability to continue as a going concern for a period of at least twelve months from when the financial statements are authorised for issue.”
Significant events
- “The performance of the Company during the year ended 30 April 2025 has declined due to loss of contracts/shutting down of stores leading to less requirement of guarding.”
- “Brooknight was affected by the demise of Wilko and Homebase, both of which were substantial national accounts for the Company.”
- “In the latter half of 2024, Wincanton PLC made the unprecedented decision to move from a contract security provision to an in-house solution.”
- “These three significant issues converging on the business in such a short space of time have had a dramatic effect, triggering a thought process at board level to diversify into other security sectors and move away from the retail environment, which is volatile and unpredictable.”
- “The rise in the National Living Wage, coupled with the government's decision to increase employers national insurance has not only added to financial pressure on the Company but the industry as a whole. Ongoing shortages of licensed security personnel increased payroll costs. Recruitment and retention remain challenging, with higher pay rates required to attract skilled officers, directly impacting gross margins.”
- “Persistent inflation in 2025 continued to drive up the cost of fuel, uniforms, and equipment. Insurance premiums also rose well above historical averages, contributing to tighter cost control margins.”
- “Corporate and retail clients affected by the broader economic slowdown imposed tighter budgets and, in some cases, reduced service hours. This reduced overall contract value, particularly in retail guarding segment.”

Each % is (latest − prior) ÷ |prior| for the line item as filed. Periods don't have to be exactly 12 months apart — a long or short period (typical around incorporation or year-end changes) will distort the comparison. Lines a company doesn't report are omitted. About these numbers
