“After reviewing the company's forecasts and projections and considering the risks and uncertainties detailed in the Strategic Report, the directors have a reasonable expectation that the company has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. The company therefore continues to adopt the going concern basis in preparing its financial statements.”

As a result, on 27 December 2024, Michael O'Mara Books Ltd sold of the majority of its portfolio of investment assets to Lacour Limited, which is a related party due to the same ultimate ownership, that being The O'Mara Familly Trust. The transaction was conducted at a market value of £6,097,193, with consideration satisfied by the issue of a loan note from Lacour Limited. Michael O'Mara Books Ltd subsequently waived its right to receive payment of the loan note, by way of a deed of release, resulting in the loan being off to the P&L.”
