“In auditing the financial statements, we have concluded that the Trustees' use of the going concern basis of accounting in the preparation of the financial statements is appropriate. Based on the work we have performed, we have not identified any material uncertainties relating to events or conditions that, individually or collectively, may cast significant doubt on the Charity's ability to continue as a going concern for a period of at least twelve months from when the financial statements are authorised for issue.”

Significant events

• “In 2024-25 three churches were vested in the care of the charity. These are St James's, Llangua in Monmouthshire, St Deiniol's, Worthenbury in Wrexham and St Twrog's, Bodwrog on Anglesey.”
• “Throughout 2024 and into 2025, we have been dealing with the transfer of four historically significant chapels from the Historic Chapels Trust (HCT).”
• “In 2024-25 we undertook our most challenging and complex projects, including two which were the most expensive projects in the Charity's history. These were the repairs to St Lawrence's, Gumfreston in Pembrokeshire and St James's, Llangua in Monmouthshire.”
• “The introduction of this project cap will affect major projects we had planned for 2024-25, such as St Andrew's, South Runcton in Norfolk and St Deiniol's, Worthenbury in Wrexham.”
• “Thanks to the support of a generous benefactor, in January 2025, we were able to increase our staff size from three to five full-time staff members.”
