- Going concern
- Affirmed
“The Directors have considered the implications of external factors (such as the global conflicts between Russia and Ukraine, and Israel and Palestine, and the ongoing economic environment in the UK) in relation to the risk of the business continuing to operate as a going concern and have concluded that there are sufficient cash resources in place to trade through the current economic climate, as well as having the ongoing support of our bank and funding providers as required. They have not identified any significant issues that are expected to affect the company's ability to continue as a going concern. Whilst the business is in a net current liability position, this reflects ongoing investment in working capital, as well as capital improvements to all sites for future enhanced returns, funded through operating cash flows. The net current liability position has improved by £281k from last year and the business has fully repaid on four bank loans in 2024 which will improve this position further going into 2025.”
Significant events
- “Trading performance in 2024 shows sales and profits well up on last year, even after challenging economic conditions and a wet Spring & Summer season.”
- “Strong Golden Quarter over Christmas period helped recover lost Spring gardening sales and improved margin performance.”
- “Refurbishment and extension of restaurant and kitchen facilities at Millets Farm centre reopened in November 2024, expected to drive significant improvement in 2025.”
- “Investment in several capital projects in 2024 including refitting Plant department at Cheltenham, investing in Flood Benches at Wychbold, reskinning reservoir at Wychbold, and developing new HR & Payroll System and QR ordering.”
- “Fully paid down on four bank loans during the year, expecting improved cash flows and reduced interest costs going into 2025.”
- “Signed off installation of solar panels on the roof at Millets Farm store during 2025, to generate up to 50% of energy usage at that site.”

Each % is (latest − prior) ÷ |prior| for the line item as filed. Periods don't have to be exactly 12 months apart — a long or short period (typical around incorporation or year-end changes) will distort the comparison. Lines a company doesn't report are omitted. About these numbers
