Audit & accounting basis

- Standalone (parent only)

- Henton & Co LLP
- Audit opinion
- Unqualified (clean)
- Going concern
- Affirmed
“In auditing the financial statements, we have concluded that the directors' use of the going concern basis of accounting in the preparation of the financial statements is appropriate. Based on the work we have performed, we have not identified any material uncertainties relating to events or conditions that, individually or collectively, may cast significant doubt on the company's ability to continue as a going concern for a period of at least twelve months from when the financial statements are authorised for issue.”
Significant events
- “Recent years have seen a good deal of volatility in the company's raw materials as a result of the war in Ukraine and business uncertainty exacerbated by tariffs imposed by the US and concerns about the management of the UK economy by the UK government.”
- “Askern UK Limited have been charged with an offence contravening section 2(1) of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. The detailed investigation following the accident, which involved just one employee, has led to a tightening of the company's processes and the company continues to strive to implement training to bring work-place accidents to a minimum. Askern UK Limited entered a plea of Guilty to this charge at the first opportunity and judgement is due on 4th February 2026. There is a spectrum of possible fines but at this point it cannot be quantified.”
- “There are possible costs involved in connection with the environmental Licence of a landfill site which is on land owned by a related company. The annual costs for the monitoring of the site will be accounted for when incurred but the company is currently in negotiations with The Environmental Agency, and the actual costs are yet to be quantified.”

Each % is (latest − prior) ÷ |prior| for the line item as filed. Periods don't have to be exactly 12 months apart — a long or short period (typical around incorporation or year-end changes) will distort the comparison. Lines a company doesn't report are omitted. About these numbers
