“It is our view that Foothold remains financially viable. Given the volatility of the global economy and uncertainties around the longer-term effects of COVID-19 pandemic we and the senior management team regularly reviewed the costs of providing support against our financial position to maintain control of our expenditure. We have now seen the full effects of the IET's decision to no longer collect donations for Foothold alongside the annual membership subscription from October 2023. Despite this reduction in our income we are assured that with our ongoing oversight and considering our reserves, ongoing development of our voluntary and investment income streams, reduced eligibility criteria for support, reductions in our staffing and current cash flow forecast, there are no material uncertainties about the ability to continue as a going concern.”
